Waffle your oatmeal.

We all know that oatmeal is a healthy breakfast staple. However, it can be boring to eat plain oatmeal every day, or maybe you have a picky eater in the house that won't even try it because of the texture... Whatever the reason, you can still get the same health benefits of oatmeal, but in a waffle! That's right, you can turn your everyday oatmeal into a fun, yet healthy, waffle that just takes minutes to make! You'll need a blender (I like to use an individual blender such as a Magic Bullet, but a bigger one will work if you're making a larger batch), and a waffle maker.

Ingredients:

1/2 c Oatmeal (optional: gluten free)

1 large egg

1-2 Tbsp vanilla almond milk (or dairy milk)

1/2 tsp baking powder

1/2 tsp cinnamon (optional)

1 tsp pure vanilla extract (optional)

Directions:

Blend all ingredients together. Spray waffle maker with non-stick cooking spray. Pour blended mixture into the waffle maker. Cook. Top with your favorite toppings, and enjoy!

I topped mine with blueberries, raspberries, natural peanut butter, and a touch of pure maple syrup.

Makes 1 waffle.

Bon apetit!
